Young Family Needs Prayers

Friends of my daughter, this young family just went through a rough year with the dad having cancer in his jaw and getting radiation while wife was pregnant and delivering their second son (First is 3yrs. old) They thought all was well and just found out cancer has not only returned but spread to lungs and brain. Mom sent out photos of their adorable new baby with this message:

'Keep us close in your hearts, thoughts, and prayers for our dear daddy...we are remembering that "just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly!"
"Peace. it does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. it means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart."
Jax signified new life for us 5 months ago and we are hopeful and know and remember that when times are tough and when we are not sure where we are headed, the Lord will carry us."

To experience such spirit, hope and faith from such a young couple who has been through so much just fills my heart.

As a young family dealing with similar circumstances I know how difficult it is to live and be joyful. He has lost lots of weight and his wife is seeking out both traditional and alternative therapies. I was mistaken in my original post in that the cancer spread to his brain... it has spread to his lungs and bones. Not that it is any better or any worse, my heart just breaks for them to be going through this. Please keep them in your prayers...
Also, as you can imagine, the mom doesn't have much time to be seeking out support for herself, so if anyone who has been in a similar situation or has some good ideas for her, please pass them along ! Thanks so much for your prayers. Peace, Liz; ▶ Reply to This
