Watching 11th Hour got me thinking about great documentaries out there that have motivated me and opened my eyes to issues in our health care system, the environment, politics, the economy, etc.
Here are some of my favorites:
Sicko
Roger and Me
Supersize Me
The War Room (About Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign)
11th Hour
I'm sure there are lots more I'm not thinking of but these are some:
Baraka, Koyaanisqatsi and Powaqqatsi
Manufacturing Consent
Waste Equals Food
Garbage Warrior
Life After Peak Oil
The Thin Blue Line
Paradise Lost
Brother's Keeper
Crumb
Grey Gardens
Winged Migration
Buena Vista Social Club
Blue Vinyl
Crapshoot
I wish we could get Micheal Moore to do a documentary on the effects of the SAD diet. If he could team up with the author of The China Study and The Omnivore's Dilemma, that would be so utterly cool. McDonalds was in the hot seat, why not the meat and dairy industry as a whole? And toss in refined sugar and corn syrup for good measure!
I wish Michael Moore would go on a raw diet. He's going to have a serious heart attack and then who is going to make all those cool documentaries? I really do like him, even though sometimes I think he goes too far, and I just imagine his health is very poor. Michael, are you reading this? You need to try raw!
