I don't live there but just wanted to send you prayers for being guided to the resources you need on your healing journey! I don't know how far Malibu is from Hollywood, but I know someone who does Live Blood analysis if you are interested in that & can get there. If so, let me know. Best of luck!

Hi Amanda, I have a brain tumor and I live in LA,
I don't have time to e.mail at length now but I will tomorrow.
I have this great chinese doctor but he is in Santa monica,
I also have a good accupuncutrist in silver lake.
Check out the brain tumor group on this forum also.

Here are a few more thoughts:

You may want to check out the discussion "any other brain tumor survivors out there"( i think under #3 in the life lounge discussion), it contains a lot of info,

Can any of your friends give you rides for the time being?

You could use the site caringbridge to keep your friends and family informed of your needs, progresses etc...(wish I'd known about it when I needed it the most)

My chinese doctor started a place called the tao of wellness with his brother. They select directly their herbs and roots from china and it is helping me tremendously going through the chemo (I only go once a month because it is far and expensive but so worth it). you can check out their website "tao of wellness.com".

Where was your tumor located (mine is on top of the brain stem and deemed inoperable), you are lucky you had Doctor Black, I have heard nothing but raves about him.

There is a good support group at the wellness commnunity center in west LA, twice a month and once a month at the one in Pasadena.

You can send a note to Michael sieverts, he is on this forum under my friends, he has an amazing recovery stroy and lots of info.

Where do you live? I live in Echo park and if I can I would be happy to give you a ride somewhere. I wear an eye patch but make my way around really well with it!

Back with more suggestions later if I can think of some.
