Kinoki Detox Foot Pads - helpful or hype?

Hey Jenny,
I don't know any specific info on the pads but I definitely lean towards the hype end of this. As someone knows the anatomy of the foot....there are no lymph glands or nodes or ducts there (lymph drains into the nodes which are mostly in the groin area). The skin over the foot is the same as everywhere else with maybe a bit more concentrated sweat glands (but then so are the hands and armpits) so I find it a very dubious theory that concentrated toxins exit the body this way. I would be more inclined to get a colonic!

Yeah, silly me! I looked around after posting this and found different people weighing in on the subject. I think you are right. I think whatever they do, they react to sweat in the feet.

yeah and on channel 7 didnt they do that report on them? saying that they were as effective or less than sticking a teabag to your foot.
they did various trials blind and double blind and all results point to hoax.

i mean cuz seriously if they worked at all why would they keep giving you as many as you needed for life for free.

i think it was nightline.
with that reporter with the dark hair and mustache. tall thin guy.

I received some as a gift. I put them on as directed woke up and they were brown. I opened them up to look inside and there was various tea like substances. I surmised that the sweat from my feet wet the substance and then you think that gunk came out of your body. I would not waste my money on them. I will share that my Aunties use to cut a garlic clove and rub it on the bottom of their feet and put white socks on, when they went to bed. They swear that it helped with viruses.

While I was doing treatment I poked around to find any & every way to Detox. I did Baths (which are awesome, salt and clay!) and I did...I bought the pads. I stuck them on, went to bed. When I woke up, I peeled them off ( the sticky tape tuck to the bottom of my feet for days collecting lint!) & they were yellow and gross. That was the first and last time I tried them. I have a whole box if you want to give it a shot.

I appreciate the offer, but after all of the discussion and research I finally did online, I've come to the conclusion that they are just hype and react to sweat on the feet. :) I'm going to stick with the regular ways of detoxing. =D
