I have been trying to follow the alkaline diet pretty closely, but this time of year I love a cold beer. If I can alkalize my water by putting a lemon in it, will it work for beer? Maybe this is a really stupid question, but had to ask...
This may not be the offical csl line.. but beer is made from hops hops is a natural product.. lemon is akaline.. some things are sacred.. just like tequlia is made from agave.. lime is natural so margarita is defintiely on my plan.. life cannot be beerless and tequlia less.. we need something.. go girl on the subject and while you are at it I will pop the top on a Neagro Modela and join you.. hugs callie
Something in me tells me you won't be able to totally alkalize beer. But I agree with Callie, some things are sacred. And Jesus himself was a wine drinker!
All in moderation, I'm sure.
Callie, I will join you for a Negro Modelo in the fall when we move to New Orleans! We are making our plans to head south.
Ummm, did someone say Margarita? Cold beer? Gin and Tonic? Bellini? Sangria?
Count me in.
Redundant to say this but.. life is short....enjoy the pleasures we are afforded here and there....and if it's got a little piece of fruit in it....it's gotta be good for what ails ya. :)

Beer- yum!! i am a HUGE fan of Guinness..i consider it medicinal- lots of iron which i need -as im sure most women do. as we know, in moderation...dont believe its very alkalizing, also no citrus goes in Guinness, but i really do feel good the next day after having a beer. apparently in england up until the 70's, i believe, they would give a pint of guinness a day to patients who were recovering from surgery. definitely something good in the beer!
