Thursday Update on DEE PRAYERS NEEDED PEOPLE!!!
3/13 Nessa says the following re: Dee
Just wanted to keep you posted. Unfortunately today is not a very good day for Dee. Lots of pain, lots of coughing. She's very weak, very run down and over all very exhausted. The non stop coughing from the CAP is causing strain on her already bruised ribs, as well as discomfort in the areas of her most recent two surgeries. She is however still responding to the antibiotics and healing nicely from the surgery. We are hoping she will be able to go home tomorrow, Friday. We moved three steps forward yesterday, but what seems like four steps back today. Wish I had better news.
I think another wave of prayer is in order.. this time let's do it at 9pm..where ever you are...I know Dee is fighting like hell.. she needs to feel our electric altar power so light a candle and do your thang for her. love deb
Nessa says Dee is responding to the meds and although exhausted, seems to be getting a better color to her lovely face!!! Can you feel the love people??? (crowd roars!) Keep Dee on all your hearts.. I know I can't stop thinking about that little fireball of heart and soul.. more as I get it. Deb

The prayer sounds amazing, I'll let her entire family know. They'll appreciate it. She's been teetering between unstable and stable all day but is holding strong. The CAP seems to be responding to the new treatment so far. The first part of the flowers arrived fine, they're very pretty. I'll be bringing them to her first thing in the morning. Hopefully she'll get to go home soon...keep your fingers crossed. Take care of you.

I have good news, and bad news. As many of you know, the more you have to be given antibiotics, the less effective they become. Unfortunately the antibiotics that Dee has been on for her CAP is not doing the trick. Her body is no longer responding to them. Some time after 11:30pm PST Friday night, Dee complained of a rapid pulsing pain at the base of her skull as well as a general feeling of something being 'off'. Within the next half hour, she had the shakes and could barely lift her arms. Her temperature spiked to 105, she had brief convulsion like symptoms and lost consciousness for ten-fifteen minutes. The good news is that she has been stable for the last two hours, awake, alert and responding well. They have upped her antibiotics and are checking her stats every five minutes. She seems to be improving. At this time it is unsure whether or not she will be able to go home later this afternoon as planned, but I will be sure to keep you all posted. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, she's the toughest chick we all know but she's not invincible. If you have any questions or concerns, just let me know.

Hope that this is not confusing.. I am leaving all the post in case someone joins us now...here is the latest email from Nessa.. please keep praying to all the gods that be for our gal Dee and her family!
from Nessa:She unfortunately is having a difficult time with the CAP. The coughing is causing a lot of exhaustion and pain, as well as pulling at her sutures from surgery which can't be comfortable. She's hanging in there though. She was reintroduced to liquids yesterday mostly warm tea, water and ice chips. Today she was able to keep down tea and orange juice. They're hoping to reintroduce soft foods tomorrow. They've been medicating her to try and help her get some rest but it's just making her loopy and restless, which doesn't help the situation. Hopefully we'll get her home and in her own bed on Saturday, I think being in familiar surroundings will help her get more rest.

Kylie says Dee does have CAP but that they have her on antibiotics and she is getting better by the minute...GO DEE!Got an email from Neesa.. seems Dee does need to stay in the hospital for a bit but she is her usual feisty self today...just needs some time to heal. Dee sends her love to all...Dee's mom would prefer that any flowers etc go through Neesa.. sounds like a good mom to me..of course she wants to protect her little girl! Please respect that wish.. we can get Dee flowers or gifts through her assistant.. I will work on that end of things...thanks for all your amazing support, can't wait for Dee to get back her and get her spurs on! DEBEMAIL ME IF YOU WANT TO GET SOMETHING TO DEE!
Here is the news from the latest email from Neesa.. please pray for our precious Dee:As of right now the doctors are currently running a bunch of tests
(chest x-ray, Sputum sample, Bronchoscopy and a WBC) because they think
she may have CAP (an infectious pneumonia). She's had a 'cold' for a
week or two now but they're worried with her immune system it has
traveled to her lungs. As soon as I know more, you will.
NEW UPDATE: NEESA SAYS DEE IS OUT OF SURGERY, AND DOING GREAT, DOCS TOOK LESS THAN PLANNED, NO FEEDING TUBES=YEAH DEE TEAM!

Please pray hard for Dee's surgery -Dee wrote me today, she had surgery at 6am this morning.. keep her in your prayers for a quick recovery.. we need our super cowgal to jump back into that glittery saddle and ride with us again!!!!.. she wrote an email telling us that the canser docs have decided she needs her fourth surgery in a few days....so keep her close to your hearts and pray that this is her last time on that table.
