I love quotes and so does my dad. He has made me books filled with his favorite quotations and poems. We are currently working on a book together about the sea filled with quotations and my photographs.
I thought it would be great to have a place to share ones that we find for inspiration and encouragement or just laughter. What's your favorite quote? Please post often and as many as you like over and over again.
One of my favorites is from Alice in Wonderland:
"Alice laughed: "There's no use trying," she said; "one can't believe impossible things."
"I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was younger, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."
Alice in Wonderland.
" My doctor is wonderful. Once in 1955, when I couldn't afford an operation, he touched up the X-rays."
Joey Bishop
" It si a good idea to 'shop around' before you settle on a doctor.Ask about the condition of his Mercedes. Ask about the competence of his mechanic. Don't be shy! After all, you're paying for it."
Dave Barry
"Write as if you were dying. At the same time, assume you write for an audience consisting solely of terminal patients. That is, after all, the case. What would you begin writing if you knew you would die soon? What would you say to a dying person that would not enrage by its triviality?"
"Do you walk, Do you run, Or do you fly if you have the chance. When the music starts to play, Do you turn and walk away or do you dance!"
- From a favourite song by Amy Sky
"People say what we are all seeking is a meaning for life. I don't think that's what we are really seeking. I think what we are really seeking - is the rapture of being alive."
- Joseph Campbell

"Your Pockets May Be Deep But My Soul Is Deeper"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Some people are always grumbling because roses have thorns; I am thankful that thorns have roses."
Alphonse Karr
" A humorist is a man who feels bad but who feels good about it.'
Don Harold
" I keep the telephone of my mind open to peace, harmony, health, love, and abundance. Then, whenever doubt, anxiety or fear try to call me, they keep getting a busy signal- and soon they forget my number."
Edith Armstrong
