If anyone else has a resource please add here. This is for fresh grass. So many people ask, and this guy Steve knows a truck load. His books are terrific too.
I don't know how extensive this is throughout the country, but I get my wheatgrass, about a pound for $7.79 at WholeFoods. It comes from a place called New Natives in Santa Cruz, CA that delivers it twice a week to various health food type stores in the Bay Area. I tried growing it for awhile, but it just got to be too much on top of everything else, so I pay a bit more, but have the convenience.
Wheatgrass Grower ships UPS Ground ONLY to Central and Eastern Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland for next-day delivery. Orders from Western Pennsylvania and all other states are shipped UPS Next Day Air Saver.
I'm trying to find a Canadian supplier, and so far I've had no luck. I'm thinking of growing my own and I'd love if someone would share tips and instructions.
I just started growing my own wheatgrass. I bought a Dome Germinator, which is easy to use and leads you through the progress with a very detailed description- plus there are 3 layers, so you'll always have a fresh supply of wheatgrass- or you could grow sprouts on one level and wheatgrass on the other.
Just started using it, though, so too early to say if it's working better than my first try- but I have high hopes!
