Hey Deepak Lovers!
what is your favorite book by Deepak or CD?
The Soul Of Healing is my mediation cd favorite.
The seven secrets of success is one of my fav books.
I listen to him on Sirius Radio every saturday.. I love his voice and his insight and his guests are fab!
I am a big fan of Deepak and Wayne Dyer also. The Power of Intention is a great read- I call it my "don't worry, be happy" book. I agree with Debbie that Deepak's voice is very comforting. I'm currently listening to The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success on my ipod. I feel like I have to listen to each section a couple of times b/c it is loaded with great tips/advice/knowledge.
I hadn't heard of this guy before this discussion, but now that everyone is talking about him, I think I'll jump on the bandwagon! I think I probably need some spiritual guidance. 7 secrets will be the next book I read!
Well, since you asked... I don't go in for what I call the "bookstore gurus," and Deepak has more or less achieved that status in a big way over the last 20 or so years. I do, incidentally, appreciate very deeply his political views, whenever he pens one of his on-the-money critiques of the current U.S. (wicked) regime. Haven't read one lately, though, alas.
That being said, I did recently locate a copy of one of his earlier works, Creating Health. It was definitely worth a read, even though much of what's there is so mainstream nowadays. But it was a good start to the mind-body reading I am now heavily engaged in.
In Creating Health, by the way, Chopra mentions that Dostoyevsky's The Brothers Karamazov is worth reading, and I took him up on it; I'm reading that now for my "Spring fiction." All the rest is health and diet related.
Hi Rick
I find him very easy to understand and to read. I know he is now somewhat "mainstream", but hey look what Oprah is doing to Ekart Tolle.. does not diminish his work, just makes him more "popular."
I find that Deepak C. does repeat sometimes but I think his basic premise is sound.
who do you prefer to read?
debbie
I'm reading "Life After Death" and I found a quote that I loved and I wanted to share:
"Any drop of water inside my body could have been ocean, cloud, river, or spring the day before. I remind myself of this fact when the bonds of daily life squeeze too tight." Deepak Chopra.
I am almost embarrassed to admit that I don't own anything by Deepak Chopra. I'm very interested in reading his book. I think I might have the money this weekend to pick up his book that we are using in the manifesting group. Plus I've got my borders coupon. I didn't know he had CDs. What kind of CDs are they?
Hey Jenny
His meditation cd is called "the soul of healing." I love it , it helps me so much and is guided with music etc.

You review is right on thea, your thoughts become your actions become your reality, and so the world goes.
