Hi all! I'm really happy Kristi started this goup. 6 months ago, at age 29, I was dx with cervical cancer- I had a 6 cm mass on my cervix that grew there in less than a year. After a radical hysterectomy I underwent chemo and radiation. I'm now in remission, turning 30 in 2 weeks (eek!), getting ready to move into a new condo, and waiting to hear back (hopefully tomorrow!) about this kick ass job I've been interviewing for (keep your fingers crossed). Basically- life has been improving so much since my dx, because I've decided to live it!

Hello LADIES!! I love this group. I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer at the age of 26. Had a major surgery to remove my 15 centimeter tumor. DID 6 ROUNDS OF CHEMO. I WAS IN REMISSION FOR 2 MONTHS, AND HAD A RELAPSE. I am at the hospital right now because I had a total hysterctomy, and I will have to do chemo because the doc could not take it all out. Having this forum, and everyone's CSC support gives me strength to kick this things ass.

Hi mariely,
I hope the chemo kicks some cancer ass!
How did you find out you had Ovarian Cancer? I know it can be hard to diagnose..especially since your young and they sometimes think our symtoms are common things. I had a lump in my breast..showed my gyno and he said not to worry about it. I was 30. finally dx about 8 months later.

Happy to see other young survivors out there. I was diagnosed at 28 with primary liver cancer in 2002 and then again in late 2007. After I had been given the "all clear", doctors found another tumor on my liver. At this point there is some debate on whether it was a new tumor or leftover from the previous surgery. All I know is that after having my second surgery, just two months ago, I've never felt better and am looking forward to a very exciting and happy life ahead of me.

hi dani,
please forgive me if this is too personal, but i was wondering if you could tell me the type of liver cancer you're dealing with. my 14yo son was diagnosed with a primary liver cancer of the type that kris carr has: epithelioid hemangioendothelioma. it's so damn rare but having contacted the EHE support group, it appears to me that the diagnosis is becoming more common. i've recently heard of 6 new cases.
thanks
guy

Hi, everyone! I'm 34 and just had my first radiation treatment this morning. This has been a bumpy ride since being diagnosed in October, but I feel great and am looking forward to the rest of my life! Good thoughts and energy to you!

Hey all! I was first dx at 28, then with a recurrence of bc just a few months ago - when I went in for my 5 year check-up! At least I went on my big 5 year cancer "free" trip to a spa in Utah before I got the news! I just got back from the YSC convention in Florida, where I hung out with about 600 women under 40 w/ bc. I hope that all of you with other forms of cancer are able to find great support like us bc gals.

Remember: this is a good fight and, at least for me, cancer + prayer, and if anyone tells you your chances for a cure are "slim" as they told me, tell them it sounds like a dare!

Hi Everyone! I can also say I am a PROUD survivor!!! I'm 25 and 9 months ago I was diagnosed with a rare type of brain cancer... I had surgery to remove what they could and have been on chemo ever since. I have my next MRI in a week and a half (wish me luck!).

As irony would have it, I am also a cancer researcher. As a young girl I decided that I wanted to find a cure after my grandpa passed from complications of lung cancer. I have always loved my work, but boy does it have a whole new meaning now!

It's so nice to know that there are other fighters and survivors out there supporting each other. It's nice to meet you all... :)

Hi Everyone!
I was Dx in 2005 - age 29 with stage 4 BC. As you know stage 4 means it has spread. I feel like you name it I've got it. Breast, liver, bone & brain. I refuse to give in to these Dr's that think they know how long I'm going to live! I proved them wrong in January when tests showed my brain was clear! Liver leisons 50% smaller. Bone leisons smaller. Breasts all clear!
Yippie!
