So I recently got and read the ph miracle and decided to start implementing the principles into my daily life. I got the ph drops for water and strips for testing and the green drink powder but now I am full of questions. I know a bunch of people did the "liquid feast" so maybe some of you veterans can chime in and help a sister out. I tried testing a little of my green drink but according to the strip it was not alkaline. I feel lost.
First,
how do you know if your water is alkaline enough? I put the right number of drops in but I don't know. Do I just wait and check my pee? Or do I use the ph strips to test my drinks?
Second,
The green powder is just so green. How do you drink liters of this stuff? I'm used to green juice but I put apples and sweeter things in that and you aren't supposed to do that with green drink. Should I add lemon juice? Does that help? Or should I just water it down more until (hopefully) I get used to the taste?
I know a few of you drink it with water. Please can someone tell me thier proportions or if they add anything? Mine just tastes like a huge glass of wheatgrass which I just can force down.
Are you juicing your veggies or drinking green powder? If you are drinking the green powder, that may be the problem. You've got to juice fresh veggies! Lemon juice is alkaline. Cucumbers are also very alkaline, I always put them in my juice:) Have you used the search tool to research pH strips here? I'm sure there is a lot of info!

Hi Miss Marie,
The Ph strips don't test your water or any foods/drinks, just your body's urine and saliva. I strongly recommend you go to a store that sells fish tanks and get a "wide range" Ph test kit. be certain it goes up to Ph of at least 10. It should only be about $6. Then you will know the ph of your adjusted water. I didn't do this until a month into my program and was shocked to find out I was drinking water not even at Ph 7.5!!! Not making much progress that way.
Since then, I got high Ph drops...the BEST out there, I know now, from testing a few. They are at www.alkavision.com
On green drinks, some powders taste *nasty* you are right! And many have rice added, which creates acid, so you do not want those. Very important to read all ingredients. Not everyone can juice all their green drink, the powder is helpful. I also, after trying at least 4 different ones, found a excellent one that tastes really nice. There is minty herbs added, which really improves the taste. I drink 2 of my daily 6 quarts of water with the green powder. It's also by alkavision, same website.
I will say this, after 30 days, 14 of which were the Ph Miracle cleanse followed strictly, I still wasn't getting my first urine reading above a Ph of 6. After only 3 weeks on the high Ph water with the drops I mentioned above, it's now at 7! Which is incredible for a first pee of the day. My overall Ph is running around 7.25, which is perfect! So now I finally feel I am making progress.
Best wishes and I'll start checking this thread to see if you have more questions. I figured alot of this out the slow way, so I am happy to help.
peace & healing,
Tay
Oh thanks! I've been using the strips and my urine yesterday was at 7 so I think that's good. I got some good drops but when they run out I'll probably look into the ones you suggested. I've been putting green powder in my morning green juice/smoothies to get the nutrients but hide the taste. I'll check out alkavision. Thanks! I'm not sticking to the plan completely but with the changes I have made I lost 7 pounds and feel a lot better. And I stopped craving sugar and dairy. THAT in itself is a miracle! LOL.
to be honest, I juice green, add lemon, apple and ginger and then add coconut water and my wheatgrass and spirulina powders to the whole shebang, works for me, very tasty indeed. Don't be afraid of apples and carrots, just have lots of leafy greens, broccoli stems, sprouts etc and I love red bell peppers in there too, I use all kinds of stuff, always a bit different. Today I used an asian pear, yum!

I often will shake up some in a blender cup with orange juice and drink it as a shot. I use Vitamineral Green which is one of the strongest green powders. I could never drink it with just water.
Some other ideas:
Green Smoothie
2 Cups Orange juice
1-2 Tbs Green Powder
Optional: 2 Bananas
Blend. Pour over ice.
Green Smoothie #2
Vitamineral Green
Agave
Water
Ice
Green Powder Soup

1 cup Spinach
1-2 Avocados
2-4 Large Tomatoes
1 Cucumber
1-2 Garlic cloves
1/2-1 Lime, juice

Salt or other spices
