About Me:
I was diagnosed with lymphoma one year ago.. i chose the "alternative" treatment plan in Tiajuana Mexico first at the William Hitt Center.. it was awesome but didn't get rid of it all.. i then came back to home base in Riverdale, Delaware and had 4 chemo treatments which i swore i'd never do... the combo worked and 90% of the tumor was gone!!! yippe.....i go for a new CAT scan this March 13th to see what is happening.. i have gone and stayed on my healthy protocol of accupuncture, herbs, vitamins, greens and more greens... I am 55 years young, just got a new puppy named Sage, who i Love, feeling pretty good and live by the ocean which is awesome becaUSE i am a water momba... my type of cancer can come back and many of us are on the seesaw, back and forth with it.. i am hoping it will stay gone for a good time because i have soooo much to do.. i drive a school bus of 54 middle schoolers!! Yikes and mentor and help kids in 2 different elementary schools.. I have 2 grown kids myself - a son Jesse James who lives in Maui Hawaii with my 3 grandchildren and a daughter Tara Lee who lives in Minneapolis, Mn... just got married and is an environmentalist working with Green River.. she also hiked the entire Appalachian Trail 2300 miles and there met her now husband.. I love my very cool family and my husband and i are considering a space of time spent in Maui so i can watch the kids grow!! We'll see...i hope so and of course summers in minney.. i am the oldest kid of 6 - Sage the pup just wants my attention so i'm signing off for now - peace to all

Aloha Everyone, i am writing this today because i woke up at 5 am with a sista-outlaw inmind... i got an email that cuz in Angela was in Philadelphia getting surgery on her eye.. she had melanoma in it and had to have it removed.. As if this wasn't enough about 3 months ago her oldest son was hit by 2 cars walking to school and killed... I told her about this website in a card that i sent her yesterday... I'm a bit perplexed about what to do about the grandma group and others, too. Seems like we all started lots of groups when the site was brand new and then their use dropped off -- how to get it going again? Especially since the grandma group was started by someone who seems to have stopped visiting the site.

I was really enjoying our grandma conversations, too.

Yes, we get big storms down here (mastery of understatement on display again). My favorite was hurricane wilma which landed on my house one week before my hysterectomy and cancer diagnosis. This place was severely torn up and the aftermath of surgery and hurricane seemed to mirror each other.

Here's an interesting thing known to hurricane survivors -- when flora is destroyed by storm it is followed by a "greening up." This is like a super spring when plants and trees (the ones that are left) bloom with an exuberance never before seen. I thought that was a good metaphor for my recovery, too.

So you'll be seeing the grandkids soon? That's very exciting.
