About Me:: I am now with stage 4 breast cancer that have gone to my bones and the doctors think I have no chance of getting better.I had stage 0 in august 2007 and tried metabolic, herbal and raw alternatives but the cancer kept on growing to the point the pain in my body was umberable so I had to go the doctors.I am now doing chemo and radiation and loosing my hair like everybody else.At least I had a good one year of my life thinking I was doing ok and enjoying life.I am trying to keep hopeful but it's been really hard.I don't think I would advice anybody to do alternative unless you have a doctor checking up on you once in a while to see if it is working.

What's your personal mission statement?: I want to help my grandson have a normal happy life after a freaky accident and I want to be happy and healthy .

Hey1 Just checking in on you. Hope you are doing well. Have you contacted Jenny M yet? I really really do think she is a good one for you to hook up with. I don't know if you are familiar with Cancer Treatment Centers of America, but she had stage 4 BC, was treated there, and is in remission. Incurable!? HA! Doctors have nothing on the power of the human spirit. God Bless!

They do happen!!! I am struggling, too. I have a MRI of my brain coming up, my cancer may have spread there. Why does alternatives work for some and not others?? It's very frustrating. I also have a tumor growing under my implants so they are coming out. I don't know, I guess we just hang in there.

She's on an incredible amount of morphine. She takes 45mg of time release pills 2x a day and takes another 4 mg for breakthrough pain. She usually ends up taking the 4mg about 7-8times a day. Please hang in there, though. I don't know if you're familiar with Jenny on here, but if you read her page it is really inspiring. She would definitely be a good person for you to hook up with. her profile is just under Jenny...I will be praying for you. Oh, by the way, Buy some colored bobbed wigs-they're very liberating. My sister has purple, and I have blue. May as well have a little fun with this, right?

I am no expert on the right things to eat but I do listen to my body and try to eat what is best. I try to stay away from sugar, white flour and meats and to emphasize veggies. Sometimes I eat too many veggies and I have to pull back. I do not follow raw but tend to follow the Chinese philosophy which emphasizes veggies but more warm food. I have a share in an organic farm and I make green juices. I also take a multi vitamin and a good calcium supplement. I think all this helps the meds to work. I also think exercise is important. I work out in a warm pool. At first I got a prescription for physical therapy in a warm pool. I did that for 2 months but now I work out on my own at my local Y. Also meditation every night, visualization exercises. Sometimes I go to an acupuncturist when I feel off balance or in pain. That also helps. Hope this ALL helps. Nice to meet you and so sorry your first healing venture did not work so well. I hope you are getting some relief from your pain from the conventional meds. The rads and Aromasin have worked wonders for me - I feel so normal and healthy and I am also Stage 4. I also do Zometa, the bone strenghtener - are they giving you that yet? You can still have many good years if it has not invaded your organs. Keep your chin up and you can help the meds work by taking care of your self and eating right. I appreciate you posting that the natural approach didn't work well for you...I'm very sorry that it didn't, but it's good to know. When my sister was diagnosed, it was already well into her bones...she only had 8% of her right hip left. the reason she let it go and lived with the pain for so long is because she just thought she had sciatic nerve pain. It finally got so unbearable that she went to a chiropractor, and they're amazed that he didn't just break her in half. It had gone to both hips, both legs and her back. I love your John Lennon quote...Beautiful boy has always been one of my favorite songs, and now I have my own beautiful boy that it makes me think about. I hope everything is okay with your grandson...when it rains it pours, huh? By the way, I CAN NOT believe your 55, I looked at your pic and thought you were in your 20's!
