I am also living with the current diagnosis of cancer ~source unknown~ in my 43 year old sister. She has just started her chemo which to be honest, scares the hell out of me. It has now been three weeks since she started her chemo. She seems to be feeling ok so far, but I fear the worst is yet to come. I have received a great deal of love and support through this amazing site which has really helped me through this ordeal.
I think these things take place in our lives for a reason. They certainly make us stop, and think, and maybe even look deep within ourselves and re-evaluate our own lives. I know, that I for one have changed my diet, I will be starting a hot yoga class next week, and I am filling my days with fun things, laughter, and beautiful people. For me the lesson has been that.... no one knows how long we have on this planet. I have always been a very appreciative person, however my appreciation of all things has intensified with this journey I'm on. As they say " life may not be the party we expected, but while we are here we might as well dance"
