I am currently undergoing treatment for non-hodgkins lymphoma (mediastinal large b-cell). i live in Montreal and I heard you are moving out here. Let me know if you need anyone to lend an ear locally!
Hugs & prayers,
Anna
thank you!
I know a lot of people who participate in the Team in training- it looks like a lot of fun! My fundraising is going pretty slow, but that's nothing new. It's just tough raising money for a cancer foundation (and an American at that) here in Europe and you get rejected a lot. But, since I feel it's an important thing to do and a great foundation to support, I just keep going and do my best. Plus, I get to meet a lot of great people through my mentor volunteering, which is a plus.
My friend in Utah tries to get me into the Livestrong summit in Ohio. It's not so much about getting accepted, but finding the resources to pay for a flight (it's in the summer vacations, so prizes are way up) and a room to stay. Let's see how that goes- would love to go- always a great couple of days for cancer research and advocacy.
I have to say, I'm a bit jealous that you got to do the Vancouver marathon- that'S just my favorite city in the world- okay, I assume you don't get to concentrate that much on the city when you're in the middle of a marathon ;-)
Good job right back at you!
Hugs, Henrike.
I'm home now, and I'm on day 35 and I'm doing ok. No complaints really, just that I really miss having hair. My kids think it's hilarious that my head is so shiny, until I tell them that if they like I can pick them up from school with no hat on my shiny, bald head.
How are things with you? Are you doing ok?
Hugs,
Anna
