Alissa is 32 years old and the first indication of health problems was an abnormal pap 4 years. Over the last few years many tests where done to determine if they were pre-cancer. She was advised if she wanted a family she should do so now, as the cancer had not spread. Alissa had her son Kayden in 2005. Further checks were done and she was told it was ok to have another child, and eventually suggested a hysterectomy.
Alissa had her daughter Ava in 2007 and had asked her doctor to do hysterectomy after she was born. He advised her to wait until the baby was older. She had a hysterectomy December 2007 and on her return checkup from the surgery they informed her that the cancer had spread to the uterus. Even though it had been removed, they recommended radiation. A scan was performed and the found a spot on her lungs. They did two lung biopsies, however, where still unable to determine the extent of the cancer. The third more extensive biopsy showed that indeed that it was the same cell cancer in the lungs as had been in the cervix.

Alissa is a very strong young woman ~ however, this devastated her. Facing her mortality and the fear of not being here for her family has been tough. Her faith has grown stronger and after seeking counsel has determined a healing path to handle her health challenges that will give her optimal quality of life. She has changed to an alkaline diet and is working with several doctors on treatments, medicines, herbs, vitamins, rest and exercise. We would like to help her get to a reputable doctor in Seattle who has had great success her particular type of cancer. At this point, finances are inhibiting her beginning therapy.
We are so very proud of her strength in all this, as it takes a lot of energy to raise two small children while going through all her health challenges. Alissa’s special diet, medicines and therapies require much energy and focus to keep her health condition manageable. Having the financial burden complicates and delays a very much needed, time critical treatment. We are asking your support in helping Alissa get the treatment and medicines that she needs to sustain the best quality of life. This will also allow her to spend quality time with her family and concentrate on her health. We would like to help her with the financial aspect of her walk through cancer and appreciate your generous financial support, donations and prayers.

How are you doing? Have you tried anything new? I still did not plant my wheat grass, yet. I just came back from vacation, now it seems my week is flying by. Maybe this weekend I will plant it. How are your little ones doing? Just checking in on you.
