I am so sorry you were back in the hospital. What kind of infection did you get? I hope that you are feeling better and getting your strength back.
I am feeling stronger every day, made it thru the first chemo treatment with very few side effects, second one is this week.
I changed my appliance this morning all by myself, and did not make a complete botchery of it so I am feeling more confident. I am even leaving the house more, no longer feel like a hermit.
FEEL BETTER soon. Let me know how you are holding up!!

How are you? Are you going thru Chemo?
I am home now after a 16 day stay in the hospital. I ended up with an infection that completely took all my strength away. Have been home about 2 weeks and getting stronger each day. I am learning to live with the day to day of the ostomy, but still having huge anxiety when I have to change the bag out.
I start chemo again on Weds. had some lymph nodes come back positive so 6 months of the 48 hour treatment that Vivian described that Sid is on. Not sure how I will handle the bag and the pump all hooked up but I will figure it out.
all the best,
Deborah
Yes Sid did have chemo distributed by fanny pack 24-7 for 6 weeks while doing radiaiton. He will get his chemo in a fanny pack again, but it will only run for 46 hours. So I think we go in this morning get hooked up and then we are off. I know it will be stronger than the first chemo but not as strong as we first anticipated b/c no cancer was found in the lymph nodes. How many more treatments do you have?
