I was diagnosed a number of years ago with generalized anxiety disorder. I also have had many panic attacks in my life--some so scary that I went to the hospital thinking I was dying. You are not alone. I agree with Terry, my anxiety always comes on over analyzing the past or worrying about the future. You have to ask yourself questions like "Is this all or nothing thinking?' or "is this a slippery slope of what if scenarios?" to bring some perspective back to your situation. I sympathize. When all else fails there is always Xanax.
