Thanks Shmary. Being demoted and having my job description completely voided by this idiot should raise a red flag with the EEOC if it has to go that far. I am hoping to reason with her on monday i... Read More »

Surgery was really easy for me , I had a DIEP Flap for my reconstruction that is where they take you belly fat and make a new breast so you get a tummy tuck out of it . I really had no problems had really no pain, just felt like I did a whole lot of sit ups, no breast pain at all. I went off the pain meds the same night as my surgery they where making me feel sick. My doc said he could of let me go home from ICU I was only in the hospital 2 1/2 days most are in for 5 , I think because I ad 2 c sections that made it alot easier for me . I am here if I can help you in any way.
i'm well thank you - how are you doing? once a week is tough - i did it too for 12 weeks. it's hard to have to go in so often, but now that i've been cut loose and only go see the oncologist every 8 weeks i'm actually relieved to be getting a check up!
we are still looking at schools - now alex wants to do a road trip up the california coast to oregon and washington. he's really torn about going to an art school or going to a good 4 year with an art program. i'm hoping he'll just apply to all of them and have lots to choose from. this whole application/portfolio thing is a lot of work!! how's it going with your son?
i would love to join everyone in nyc, it's just not possible for me to travel that far when the kids have so much going on. i had been toying with the idea of going to the retreat in kripalu, but it's the same weekend of the sat's! hopefully there will be something in los angeles one of these days. . .
i'm thinking of you as you go through chemo and surgery - please don't hesitate to ask any questions about the surgery - i've had both a lumpectomy, then a bilateral mastectomy and i'd be happy to share my experiences with you.
best,
marla
