BOOBALOOZA’S Mission…
Boobalooza is an event that brings forth art, music and most importantly lifesaving knowledge. Inspired by and created with a breast cancer survivor, Whitney Praska has made it her mission to fight back by giving back. All proceeds raised at the event will be donated to The American Cancer Society, who will be educating our guests with literature and various forms of information on how it effects us all and what prevention methods we can make, how we can honor our loved ones and support those dedicated to finding a cure.
What Is BOOBALOOZA?
Boobalooza will be collecting donations from local artists who want to participate in our silent and live art auction. Local business owners are donating prizes for our raffle ticket sales; local bands will be providing entertainment after the auction and live performances by belly dancers and readings from a mini-poetry-slam will entertain the guests during the silent art auction. We will also be selling event tees for those wishing to contribute on a smaller budget and also offering advertisement on the back of the tees for companies who want to sponsor the event.
When is BOOBALOOZA?
The event will be held at House Warmings in Woodhill Plaza and is scheduled for Saturday, May 10th; doors will open at 5p kicking off the silent art auction followed by the live art auction and live local music. All artists wishing to participate must have their work turned in no later than MAY 1st.
How can you be a part of BOOBALOOZA?
Whether you’re an artist or an art collector the best of Lexington will be on display awaiting a bid. From Sponsorships to distributing posters and flyers about the event, you can make a difference in lives affected by all types of cancer. We need to get the word out, so if you have any connections to any type of media, from newsletters to news broadcasts- we are in need of your public service.
