According, to Nichiren Daishonin, in a reply to the lay nun, Toki, from a letter entitled, On Prolonging One’s Life Span, “You still have many years ahead of you, and moreover you have encountered the Lotus Sutra. How truly precious your life is!” How truly precious indeed….
My story actually began approximately 12 years ago, but I had no idea that there would be a story, as I went from doctor to doctor, attempting to piece together all of the elusive symptoms that I had been experiencing for s…

I saw that a new member had joined the neuroendocrine canser group here, so I popped over to say hi! If I am not mistaken, you post on one of the other support groups...maybe the carcinoid group? Glad you found us.
Hey, I was just reading Laurie's message to you about the black raspberry powder. I am so intrigued by it...haven't tried it, but have placed an order for it. :) I'd love to hear your feedback about it. I had actually posted a message on our forum here that was cut and paste from one of the other forums. That info was just too intriguing to not spread the word.
Again, glad you found us over here and welcome!

Yes, I'm a bit familiar... but not too much. How did you find the treatments? How did you find the travel? I know a few other noids that go to Sweden to see Drs. Granberg and Oberg for treatments. How long did you stay in Switzerland after treatments and before returning home? Also, did your insurance cover it?
Yes, the blackberry powder is intriguing. I will have to look around for it on my end. I eat huge amounts of blue, black and raspberries, but it sounds like the concentration in the blackberry powder is pretty high. I just like the idea of my berry being 'alive' so to speak.
Do you like the taste of it? Do you just mix it with water??
Laurie
I also have carcinoid and, like your BEAUTIFUL profile pic, I can be found enjoying a nice glass of wine once in a while.
Just letting you know that there is a neuroendocrine cancer group here on CSL. We have about 16 members- all carcinoid or neuroendocrine related.
Peace and love,
Laurie
Well, for me, it's all about moderation. I've been vegan, vegetarian, ate only fish/chicken, organic vs non-organic....I've tried it all. I have found that what works best for me is to eat a well rounded diet.....a little meat, veggies, steamed/raw, little fruit, very, very little dairy, due to the whole cancer thing, dairy contains an enzyme that feeds cancer, mostly organic these days. I just feel so much better when I have a little of everything. Ice cream once in a while is not going to kill you, eating it everyday probably will, but we really never know for sure. Besides food, there are so many other things in the enviroment that are harmful, it's very confusing to know just what is the root of our disease.
Just my take....

As a fellow Buddhist, I too believe in cause and effect. I agree, going totally raw can be a huge challenge. I have a good friend (Who happens to be a raw food chef) who's made the transition a little more bearable. I'm definitely not a hundred perecent... maybe I never will be, but it has definitely made a difference. My weakness has definitely been dairy... I love Ice cream and tofutti doesn't really cut it. Any suggestions?
They advise you to stay at least 2-3 wks, so that your body can fully adjust. The change in diet is pretty extreme from what folks are used to eating. I did learn a lot, the weather was beautiful, the treatments were great, the 3 pools were lovely, the ground are beautiful and the staff was great. Overall, I enjoyed it...but the diet was very hard on my system. I actually liked the wheatgrass, but can't seem to find any around where I live. Wheargrass and enemas are a very big part of the program.....
Let me know if you wabt to know more...
Thanks for the request,
Gayla
