What's your personal mission statement?
Through daily living my passion of the wonder of science and the mystery of religion, my heart is fulfilled with my values -- authenticity, integrity, gratitude, lovingkindness and wholistic health. In all that I do personally and professionally, I will care for people – striving to see the divine in every person - especially the elderly, and those suffering from any discrimination, and I will care for the earth, especially through promoting renewable energy sources and seeking solutions to global warming. I will set an example as a daughter, sister, aunt, friend, parishoner and coworker, through adventure, leadership, laughter, forgiveness and unconditional love - living each day to the fullest and IN TOTAL AWE OF THE GOOD FORTUNE OF MY LIFE and all its lessons. I will create a home that is a place of simplicity, hospitality, joy, comfort, peace, and happiness for all who enter. I will be physically and mentally healthy by consciously meditating, exercising, following a nutritious diet, caring for my mood and eliminating negativity that is impacting my health. I will be a mindful steward of my finances, keeping in mind the huge privilege of my circumstances and that “to whom much is given, much is expected.” I will seek assurance, inspiration, peace and power from my religious practice, seeking refuge for a day or so if necessary, in order to never lose empathy for others even in the most difficult circumstances. I will work to love myself and be my own best friend, and to seek liberation from the pain of self-importance, holding too strongly onto my views, and feeling separate from others. Ultimately, I strive to move beyond the world of birth and death to enter the ultimate dimension and see the interconnection of us all and all phenomena in the world.

Hey Janice! Hope you had a great summer and are feeling well...I only just saw your reply to me from back in July cause you posted it on your page! I have done that too! The omega weekend feels far away-but I still hold up that experience when I am faced with something difficult or scarey-as in-"Hey, I did the trapzeze, I can do this!" My diet is very up and down-i have started doing green smoothies which are more palatable to me. But my old nemesis, sugar, is still in my life :-( Hope all is well-I am back at work after having the summer off(I work at a college) so I am transitioning back into the groove/grind! Take good, good care of you! xo

hey Queenie- I am surprised how well I feel this week and bouncing around in an empty house. I think it's because I took care of myself for the past 10 days with the workshop and the time in NY with friends. They really shored me up. We were laughing because people in NJ and Baltimore (where I'm from) say "shore" for beach. Anyway, I hope you have a GREAT time at the shore. It is so renewing. I'm not a juicer yet but I am doing pretty well on veggies, mostly raw. I find that I'm not hungry, so that may be the quality of the food or may be the emotional upset (although that usually makes me eat more). ciao and god bless, janice

Hi Janice...Hope all is well and you are getting through this time ok. I am getting ready for my 2 week beach vacation and am so happy to be going to my beloved shore. I am still not drinking my green juice on a regular basis which I get frustrated with myself about-but I shall persevere! Thinking of you:) bunny queen!

Hi Beth -- The workshop meant so much to me and I think I will look back and believe that it was a turning point not only for my cancer treatment but also in my life. It was rough being there at times and by Sunday I was pretty played out, dreading returning to an empty house. But that would have been a rough weekend no matter what I did. All is well. I look forward to staying in touch. Thanks for writing and stay well. ~ Janice

Hi Janice! It was great meeting you at Omega and glad to see that you are a part of this wonderful online community! I hope all is well since your recent break-up. That's never easy, whether it was ultimately a good or bad thing. You are quite a dynamic person with all that you do, but more importantly you are a spiritually, socially and environmentally conscious individual---something the worlds needs more of! I look forward to all of us continuing our journey together on this forum.

Hi Janice,

Have you come back to earth from the amazing weekend yet? I still can't believe how fantastic the trapeze was. My arms are (as of today) no longer sore. Not only that but I haven't woken up afraid one night since bootcamp!!!! Thank you for being part of my liberating experience. It's great to have this way to stay in touch.
Hugs to you,
Omkari
