Many prayers,

Can you imagine that?
Hugs,

I will keep you in my prayer's and if there is anything I can do let me know! I am free during the days usually, my daughter finally has her car registered, and will start looking for work on Monday. I only had the rad, so I cannot imagine what you will go through with chemo. My prayers' sending you positive healing, healthy energy waves, that this will be over soon. I am still late on getting my colonoscopy done. Yep I am bad! But now that daughter can drive, she can get me there and back, and I don't have to ask my folks.
Peace for your heart, mind, and family
Hugs to all,
Laurie

Peace and hugs,

thank you for the note
I did the chemo and radiation before I had any surgery so the iliostomy came after the surgery. I did not have any of the stomach issues when I was doing chemo and radiation, weird how everyone's body reacts differently. Only issue I have had during the new chemo is the cold thing and being tired. Hopefully that will not happen to you.
MAKE sure you maintain that health insurance. COBRA is a little high but it is well worth it for the coverage.
I run my own consulting business. I spent 25 years in retail as a buyer and DMM and have been doing consulting to the industry for 3 years. I am lucky I can work from home most of the time, and pick the hours I work, so I have been able to maintain most of my clients thru all of this mess.
Good luck with the chemo and keep my posted.
fondest regards,
Deborah
Thank you for adding me as a friend. We have some similar story. I am 52, had not symptoms and had a rountine colonoscopy in April 08 and discovered rectal cancer. I had surgery 9/3 which was tough but I am doing pretty well in my recovery, still trying to get use to my temp illiostomy...not a fun pal but hope it is only temp. I have now done 2 of my 12 new chemo treaments. Infuse in the office than 2 days home on the port. The main difference for me on the new chemo is the reaction to cold , mine has been only for a few days and mostly irritation is thru things I eat or drink( the new added drug does that,-Oxyplatin) and I am more tired than I was with both chemo and radiation that I did pre-surgery.
I wish I could help you in your job hunt, I know that just adds to your stress but try to take each day as it comes. Your main job right now is getting well !!!
all the best to you.
Deborah
love ya
I am feeling well. Had my blood work done on Sat and haven't heard anything-I guess that is good?? Im going to call though, I can't stand it. For some reason I thought you were done chemo???? I thought you had that before radiation. Don't you wish huh?? Well at least radiation is done and you are healing well. that is great news. I had 12 chemos every other week too. might be the same cocktail. the only one I remember is Oxyplatin-it made my fingers and toes hurt and couldn't drink or eat anything cold. did they say anything to you about that? it's call neuropathy (spelling??)
Let me know how you are doing
Love ya
