About Carol

About Me:: I'm Carol, a breast cancer survivor in Houston, Texas. I was diagnosed in May of 2007 and have gone through grueling chemotherapy and two surgeries. I just completed my last breast reconstructive surgery two weeks ago. Finally! It's a huge milestone for me. I'm now in the process of getting back to my normal life. My "new normal" life I should say since nothing seems to be quite the same anymore. I'm looking to meet new people and hopefully new friends. During treatment, I'd joined a support group for an emotional outlet, but I soon found that everyone there had a gloomy attitude, so I decided it wasn't for me. I was excited to find out about this website!

I feel for ya, as I had some job stress this week too, but we will get through it! I must say that honesty does pay off, if nothing else... it helps US sleep better at night no matter what happens at work. Let it out sister.

Keep writing. I've been away for a while, but I'm trying to schedule more computer time and hopefully more El Pueblito time!

Holy Crap about your job and horrible boss just remember what you put out you get back this will come around to her in many bad ways. Congrats on getting a lawyer, I too am one of those people that stand up and say "I ain't takin' this shit!"

I know you situation is MUCH different than mine. All I can say is it one year you survived and are still here. I know that is easy for me to say since I haven't had to do chemo and am still in stage one. Sometimes it is better to stop thinking, get out of your thoughts. You are alive and that is a great day.

Rachel lives here in Houston also maybe we should all get together and talk, eat, go see a funny movie, something...

You are in my thoughts and prays.
