Just trying to catch up with things on this forum.
Your family is beautiful, and you will survive!
As I am a librarian, I cannot help recommend a couple books. Have you read AntiCancer, Surviving "Terminal" Cancer (written by a GBM survivor, who takes control of his treatment), and Love, Medicine and Miracles? Great books.
Also, are you a part of an online brain tumor community? I highly recommend checking out this site: http://www.virtualtrials.com/lists.cfm
Let me know if you need anything.
Lori
I was on the same regimen for a year and did well with it. The good news is that the tumor did not shrink much but just enough to lessen my double vision and allow me to wear glasses again (it is completely changing my life to not have to wear an eye patch anymore).
I hope your vision improves also.
I was also (and still am) on Avastin, I wonder if that was ever offered as an option for you?
I SO understand about the sadness, I am in a pretty good place at the moment but I'll never be carefree again and I will never get back the year in my children's life that I missed while sinking into insomnia and depression hell.
I just thank heaven constantly for being alive and better and try to stay in the moment.
There are two GBM survivors in my support group who are living normal lives again so you just hang in there.
This is such a tough road especially with little kids, I hope you and your wife are getting a lot of support.
You are so lucky you traveled to all these places, I have lived here all my adult life so i always just travel to france!
Take good care,
Laetitia
Just dropping by to say hello and see how you are doing.
Peace,
Laetitia
Keep a positive mind and be strong.
Peace and healing, take care

How are you? I just read your diagnosis. I'm so sorry. I wish you and your family all the best.
Stay strong. :) C
How are you doing?
I was sorry to read about your diagnosis.
I just returned from France where I received my family's love and culture fix for the year.
there is always hope, I got my vision back!!!
Well not completely, but enough to wear glasses again, this is changing my life! (after I compiled a whole collection of eyepatches!!!)
peace and healing,
Laetitia
That is NOT FAIR!
Time to get on with the old chemo/radiation stuff.
Probably start next week.
What a joy, but you all know the routine so... I will just get on with it.
