Hi everyone! I'm Sara, Founder and CEO of Fight 2 Live Foundation, a non-profit foundation empowering children/teens/young adults with cancer. I figure if I am going to experience cancer and give it a fight with such passion, I'd want others to have that same fight, fought with courage and strength and hope. Cancer is the worst thing that has ever come my way, but the experiences I've had and the friends I've made during my now 3-year battle have been undeniably amazing.
So me... I am a senior in college, studying neuropsychology. During my freshman year of college, I was diagnosed with Anaplastic Ependymoma, brain cancer with metastases to my spine. I love the outdoors: hiking, kayaking, skiing, snowshoeing (I live in Colorado, so perfect place for it all). Prior to diagnosis, I was a tap dancer. Tap dancing is one of my favorites in my life, but because of my 3 spinal surgeries and a whoppin load of radiation, dance is now out of my league. I just hold it close to my heart. And piano... I am a pianist for chiors at state competitions. I'm a pretty simple kind-of-gal. Environmentalist. Advocate. Organic food hunter. World traveler. And I'm happy.
Well... I'm just beginning to create my life.

Hi Sara, I saw your post on Heather's site... I am a brain cancer survivor as well. I have now met two other brain cancer survivors in one day- that's sooo cool! I started a thread about brain cancer survivors if you are interested you can search for "brain cancer survivors". Here's my (not very up to date) website: www.caringbridge.com/visit/librarymom
I'm glad you found me. I checked out your web page and it's great. What an amazing thing you are doing. You truly have a gift and your ability to share that with others is wonderful.
