I am back from CTCA & boy am I impressed! Every single person I came in contact with was wonderful to me. I was never kept waiting...I love everyone I met with and I am now a patient there!
I will start a new treatment regimen there & my new onc does not say I will be on chemo forever! He says he believes this treatment will put me into remission!
The food is fantastic (and free) the alternative therapies are all free, The hotel is very nice and I even enjoyed a bus tour of Philladelphia...including a run up the rocky stairs and a stop for a philly cheesesteak!
I'm excited about starting this new treatment. The naturopath will be meeting with me during the treatment. I finally feel really good about my health care team!

I am glad you had such a nice time in Philly and that CTCA in Philly was such a good and positive place to start your treatment. You sound great, indeed!
I used to live in Philly and absolutely loved the city: unfortunately, eight years ago I moved to Albany for personal reasons (relationship) and have been trying to move out asap but the job situation still keeps me here, hopefully not for long. I see that you live in Hudson Valley and so you may have lots of opportunities to purchase wonderful fresh produce right at the farmers' markets.
Today I bought a lot of fresh, organic, beautiful produce on the farmer's market in Kinderhook and picked blueberries, cherries, blackbarries, and peaches right on the farm: everything is so fresh, flavorful, and just plain delish and I spent only $145 for a trank of all organic produce!!! Will last me and my mother a whole week to make our juices, salads, steamed veggies, baked potatoes, and the like!!! Isn't that great or what?? No need to go to any supermarket and overpay there for an inferior organic produce that does not have the taste of flavor of this one!
I am sending lots of healing energy your way and want to wish you a joyful and blessed weekend!

Long story short this MRI didn't freak me out like the other one's I've had (perhaps because I wasn't hallucinating) and they even gave me a complementary CD of my brain!
My brain appears fine and when they looked at the scans and my recent blood counts from Tuesday they are confident that it isn't cancer or something equally as hideous.
I still think its the freakin' roid mess they have me going through. It seems like each time they drop me down a dose no matter how small it is my side effects are exacerbated and are becoming more extreme. Hopefully now that I'm down to 6mg I'll get to give the sucky pills the boot once and for all.
I hope you had a great weekend. We had rain showers Sat. morning but Sat. evening was beautiful and we went to a car show and out to dinner with our friends.
Pardon me for copying and pasting this to everyone but I am terribly behind on housework and I have already started working on my classroom for this Fall and have to get ready for tomorrow (last week of summer school).
Best of luck on your trip!
