Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. This came about right a year's journey of healing cervial dysplasia caused by a canser causing HPV.Every woman in my maternal family has battled uterine and/or cervical canser. So I was a bit shaken but not surprised. Fotunately, it was caught early (during a health screening as I was looking to get pregnant).

I used raw foods, fasting, wheatgrass and herbal douches and honest inventories of life to not only heal my cervix, but to eliminate the HPV from my body. So, now I'm dealing with a very persisitent, cunning Fibromyaliga and am trying to apply those tools to healing this. It hasn't been easy.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have found this website. This healing journey has been lonely, but now I am feeling empowered by my situation. Thanks for being here!

But that is I guess the part of being a Mom. We have had steady days of weather, in the high 70's, above normal even for us in the desert. Have you noticed any changes in your fibro with diet??
I am completely off sugar, yippee, and still working on changes. But really watching for any type of food allergies. I know if I do some dairy I feel like yuck. So I am watching those. Planning on juicing by the end of the year. Have to get one! LOL My old mixer is not going to do it. I should be changing back to a horse (pic)soon, finally got a printer/scanner and starting to scan all my old photos that are not on digital. LOL I am so slow to learn all this new stuff!

My uncle lives in Alburguque, cousins grew up in Placitas.. hippie valley years ago. Uncle taught at the high schools years ago. Take care of yourself, be good to yourself, relax, and hang in there.
Question for you. Have you notice the barametric pressure affecting your fibro?? It seems to affect me, and I am planning to get one, and start plotting it's course. Have wanted to do this for years. Storms 3 days out, will set me off into a major flare up. Also, temp changes.

I am happy to hear that they were able to find it young, and that you are turning to the "alternative" medicine for healing.

Abluquerque eh? I am trying to move there, as I have family in Rio. That is on hold though, until I am able to function normally.

If it weren't for the insurance I currently have I would not be able to afford the pain management/needle treatments either.. I actually will be going to my first Fibro Support group this Thursday,,, I'm REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO IT... My P.T. hooked me up to the NFA website and then I also got a lead from him on some local groups... I have been on a daily basis on their support website..

I think I may have mentioned this, & I do apologize Up Front (Fibro Fog U Know) but I take Aqua Therapy which is in a somewhat heated pool, I also do Yoga on my own, it REALLY HELPS, especially in the AM when I am most stiff... I have to admit though that Unfortuantly I HAVE NOT DONE IT AS OF LATE... No Excuse, Just running in a million directions and it seems like I am out of bed in the am and I Hit The Ground Runnin.... UGH THat's a problem in itself..
I do hope tht the discussion group on this topic takes off as I know, many, many more people are being diagnosed.. Do you take Lyrica??
