About Me:: I am 36 years old living in NYC with the love of my life. I was diagnosed this past February with breast cancer and have just this past week started my 5 weeks of radiation which will be followed by 5 years of hormone therapy. I am being gentle to my body listening to every little nudge and I am loving the rediscovery of being healthy via food.

I think talking about all that is going on will help...just have to get involved in a group. I go to Memorial Sloane Kettering in the city but unfortunately they don't have very many young women my age with colon cancer...it is very rare according to my doctor. It may just help to get into any cancer support group even if it is not specifically colon cancer. Thank you again for all your ideas. Hope to meet you at one of the NYC posse events!

I am realizing that I don't have enough information about the tumor to make ANY decisions until I have a lumpectomy and find out what I am dealing with. Then, I will have a single or bi-lateral mastectomy if need be. Did you end up doing both sides? If so, did you do a reconstruction?

Yea I'll also be sure to tell him all that happened to me after that first chemo ride. Oh man Oh man wasn't good...I did not enjoy that ride. I felt like my body was screamin "what are YOU doin! Stop it stop it!" and I cried for days. So yea... instead of sufferin...I need to pick up the phone!

Yea I think I need to really speak with my Onc...Because I probably freaked out...Im not use to feeling sick the way I did. I swear I trully thought I was gonna die...NOT FROM CANCER BUT FROM CHEMO. OMG it was the worse. Yea so I guess I need to speak with my onc...and possibly speak with other specialist and docs.

This Journey is gonna be one heck of a ride...BUT I will enjoy it! I see that its teaching me so much already...and allowing me to come across many intresting people like You! (SMILE)
Thanks ever so much LuV I'LL keep u informed...Cause I jus might need that cyber shoulder to cry on.

I got all warm and fuzzy when I read that you are living with "the love of your life". Having that support is the best medicine! I, too, am living with the love of my life only, currently, that love has 4 legs and is really hairy! (see my pix) Although, come to think of it, my last boy friend was pretty hairy, too! LOL

I see that you're in NYC. Are you planning to attend the NY Posse meet-up on 9/28? I'm in Northern NJ so I'll be there and it would be great to meet you and your love.
