About Me:: I am a stage IV Breast CanSer Survivor, juicer, mother of 17 year old twin boys. Small business owner, internet junkie, loving wife and mother! I love to wakeboard! Im a professional advocate for children with dyslexia. I am finally finished with almost 2yrs of chemo !! Avastin , Taxotere, FEC, Zometa, Xeloda, Tamoxifen, Arimidex . Currently my bones are clear ! woo woo.. I love juicing, I went through some "wicked" detoxing , but I managed to stick it out.. I took a "little lazy" break off from juicing but Im back at it again.. Its amazing what juicing does for tumor maker results if you hang in there and stick to it !!!

Ugh, a relapse ! Scans didn't turn out so good ! It could be worse though?!I still dont have any distant organ mets. New bone mets , my hips , new spots on my spine, hips, sternum, and skull ! Gee, they found I also have an enlarged thymus gland! It keeps growing each scan shows more growth... im wondering is this good or bad... its a very interesting gland once i did some searching on it... Just wondering how you are doing. I am writing to you because in your blog you mentioned an enlarged or enlarging thymus gland seen in your June scans. I am a Stage IIIC ovarian cancer survivor of 1.5 years, and my latest PET scan showed "some" activity in the thymus area, but my doctor said it was nothing to worry about and that we'll just continue with the same course of action---CT scans every 6 months. Of course I'm worried--geez!

I had my bilateral mastectomies and my DIEP reconstructive surgery on April 30th. I'm 4 weeks post surgery and everything is looking good. My hair is growing back in like a "chi pet". It's about 3/4 inch long and fuzzy. It's salt and pepper 50/50 mix black and gray. Did yours come in the same? I've read that you should wait until 1 year because it's so fine when it grows back in. What have you heard? I'm going to have my hysterectomy the end of June. Have you done that or are you planning on doing that too? Are you taking Arimedex or Tamoxifen now? I didn't want to take either, but my Oncologist told me I have to. So, in about a month, I will start one or the other. The side effects are scary. I'm a juicer too. It has taken a lot of trial and error to get the taste to tolerable, but I've managed to do it. I didn't do it for about the last month during recovery, but I have started it up again.
