At 1:52pm on October 4, 2008, Glamma karen said…: Tee thinking about you and your pain if you need some help with visualization and meditation let me know it can lower some of pain levels as you relax your body.Have you thought about accupunture?hypnosis?These can help too.Another good book is "you can heal your life "by loise l hay it is so positive.You mentioned burns are they from radiation?My sister had an area that never healed they gave her these special medicated patches to put on it to help with the pain.

The consultant that we use is Dr. Jeanne Wallace Phd. Her web page is www.nutritional-solutions.net. You will find information under "becoming a client." She collects all your medical history, diet, and health info and will create a report which is 80-100 pages of information. This will include dietary recommendations, supplements, labs that can be done to determine deficiencies or high levels that my be harmful (like copper, etc.), and more. Much of the information will have the reason that specific item was recommended and scientific studies to back it up. The cost for this is $350 and included one hour of phone consultation (which can be broken into segments if you desire). We have found her quite knowledgeable and you will find her credentials on the web site. The only "I wish" about the materials is that there is so much and it is rather overwhelming at first. I used my first phone consult to find out what supplements that were top priority for my situation. My husband just told me about a speech of hers that convinced him to contact her. Ann Arbor is just 30 miles from us. My husband works there and our son graduated from University of Michigan. Our state is quite beautiful if I do say so myself! We have the luxury of being surrounded by the Great Lakes so a wonderful vacation at the beach is only hours away. We also have a chain of lakes near our home and usually boat although it never hit the water this summer.

Thanks so much for writing back. I am sorry for all you are going through and your explanation of why you are on your current path made much sense. I am glad that your doctor is pursuing a pain med for you. Hope you find the right one with the right strength to give you relief. I was diagnosed in Feb. of '07 with stage IV pancreatic cancer. My husband found a Dr. Jeanne Wallace who is a Phd. in nutrition specializing in cancer. I sent her a copy of my medical records and she designed a proticol for me that included both diet and supplement recommendations and the science to back up the claims. If you are interested, I will give you more info. I look forward to getting to know you better. You mentioned us a Bren's friends but believe it when I say that we are YOUR FRIENDS now! There is a "groovy group" called Alternative and also on for BC. Check them both out as you may find some good leads. I am giving you the link of an inspiring story of a woman who lives not far from me. Don't know if there is anything in it that would work for you but you can check it out.
