Autoimmune Chick!

So...I have been MIA because I got a bit of a cold/flu over the weekend. I used to get this ALL the time and be sick for weeks and it was so depressing. I got a few more tests back that have brought more confirmation on the Celiac and Lupus diagnoses. The doctor says that my Celiac is quite severe and that I have had it for a very long time. I had an appointment with my Rheumatologist today. I finally had some good news. My bone scan came back negative for Sacroilitis. Yay! The doc thinks it may be some nerve damage so I am getting an MRI. I am so glad that I do not have another major problem. Yippee!!! I got test results back from my stool and I definitely have Celiac. In fact, he thinks I have had it for quite some time based on the test results. My IgA levels are extremely low. The normal range is 400-900. Mine are only at 70!!!… Continue

I am currently on day 10 of the Specific Carbrohydrate Diet. Please wish me luck on my journey! My Celiac mentor recommended the diet as a way to heal my tummy and rebuild myself.
