I am vegan, stretch and hike and trying to get back to my regular yoga practice...I love life in all of it's mystery and beauty and am grateful to still be here! I am a single mom of teens, have worked with young kids a lot, and think art and creativity are wonderful vehicles of healing.

Scan results: Still NED at stage IV!!

Got PET and MRI results today. I am still NED after 9 months off treatment. I had a pulmonary met,( 3.5 years after primary melanoma )which was inoperable and was treated with the chemo pill, Temodar. I hope this can give some others hope that even with a bad prognosis, sometimes we get some AWESOME, clear scan living in!

Lucky I have great kids and one is a nurse cuz if I ever needed help it was this past week, so I will get back to you as soon as I get a minute. So happy about your scan!!!!!!! mine just came back Oct 14 clean, isn't it funny I can't find the words to express the feeling of a clean scan. It is just............ well you know. A journey in life, yes! Challenging and strenuous as it becomes. I work daily to push myself, being stubborn when appropriate and relaxed when I can. Knowing that with each step, I become one closer to the end. Unknown though it may be. This is my journey.

I am so glad that you let me know of MM survivors out here. I am 1b, but worry about the way melanoma spreads and never knowing when it may come back. Thanks for sharing your story and great news.

BTW I am currently reading Lady of Avalon - for the 2nd time, but the Mists is my favorite of her books.

The pictures on my page are a mixed bag of goddesses -- a popular theme in the Mists of Avalon! I have Hindu, Tibetan, Chinese, Haitian, Greek and Egyptian representations of the feminine divine (as it is sometimes called). Some of the pix are from my personal collection and others are found through google image search.

I once had teenage kids -- and now I am a grandma. Time flies!!!!!!!

I think the chelation is going well...I'm using a different chelation product right now. Stronger than the last one. I've noticed that I'm not building tarter on my teeth like before. I can always feel it with floss on my lower front teeth. This interval between cleanings, hardly any at all. Just an observation...I think I'll check with someone who knows, if this is just a coincidence. I want to see my blood under a microscope again soon and see if there are any parasites running around that have been kicked out of their homes by the chelation...he he.he....little buggers...there were a few last time I looked...I think my immune system was taking care of them...If I can see my live blood later this week, I'll post it on my blog!
