About Me:: In August 1994, I was only 20 years old when my docs gave me the 'c' news and diagnosed me with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Now, June 2008, 14 years later, 4 relapses, 6 biopsies, 2 stem cell transplants, full body rediation,
1 failed clinical trial and too many chemo 'sessions' to count,
I'm still here, alive and kickin'.

I'm still fighting the "c" as we speak. BUT armed with one of many green cocktails in one hand and a stubborn middle finger in the other, I plan to keep on kickin'.

Thankfully, there is more to 'me' than just this disease.

I am a lil' tom boy at heart. Love my sports and playing poker with my little bro and his boyz (and I especially love it when I walk away with their money... hehe!). I love feeling the warm sun against my skin, love all beaches, all massages too, and love laughing til' my belly hurts. I'm also a BIG fan of my juicer and blender. Unfortunately, not a big fan when it comes to cleaning them... grrr! And lastly, big dog lover. One day I want to own 2 labs... call one Ferris and the other Bueller.

But to see you laughing and cheering and enjoying your life to the fullest that's the best part. Early I spent a lot of my time talking "what ifs". No more. I am laughing, smiling and enjoying my family - every moment. I am about to start radiation, so here we go. I hadn't had a clean scan until Dr. Galal told me on Monday (yes, he is my doctor too! Isn't he great? Too bad he is leaving us. :-( So finally a clean scan, and radiation to come. And hopefully I will be more stubborn than this "c" (like you call it!) My frontline soldiers - my juices and my greens. Would love to chat more with you!!
