About Me:: I am a co-survivor and my mom is my sponsor.
I have learned and grown so much since July 27...that is the day that will be seared onto my heart forever...this is the day that my mom was diagnosed with lung canser and brain mets. I worry and pray for her everyday. I laugh with her and love her like crazy every second.
The day she was diagnosed she said "I dont have time for this shit! Let's fight!"
Awesome and truly an inspiration! She's so crazy!

...heres a secret...the name on my birth certificate is michelle...but everyone calls me maxx. im a cowboy boot, converse wearin' punker. i hate feet (ick). i love, love cookies. i am obsessed with obsessing. i always use lower case and dot . dot. dots. i am one part coo-coo and three parts nonsense. i really like hearts alot...anything hearts, glitter hearts, sacred hearts, painted hearts, real hearts...you get the picture. i can always find free time to color my hair, paint, create or go to target.
and i am strong...stronger than i never thought i was.

At 10:53pm on November 11, 2008, Carrie Belair said…: Seems I am back in chemo soon - BUT the very same line of treatment, as the first one was so successful and they stopped at 8 rounds only because it was getting hard on me but was kicking cansers ass! A few started to grow in the lung SO we handle that battle soon. AT least NO baldness!! cuz they cannot make a bald lady - balder!!!! AND not having to shave my arms or legs.....BONUS!!!!

At 9:25am on November 2, 2008, amanda said…: Thanks for another note of support. My mom did not find out soon enough for the damage to be halted or reversed. At least that is what the doc's say and you know how slow things happen sometimes. Next month we will go to the doctors to see about the transplant list and where she stands. Currently they are unwilling to put her on any medications because it may throw off the stability she has managed to find. So we are fighting with good food and love.!!
