Profile Information

About Me:: I was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 33.
I am now a breast cancer survivor at the age of 35. YAY!

I just went back to work recently. I work in the medical field, I have to say it is nice to be a "normal person" again. I like to volunteer for the american cancer society for their reach to recovery program and I also volunteer for one of the local hospitals for their hand and hand program. I have spoke for the american cancer society at one of the colleges out here about my journey through breast cancer. After speaking at the college I was offered the opportunity to tell my story about my journey through breast cancer on one of the local cable shows and I agreed, I have also promoted a walk a thon for one of the local hospitals on a radio commercial. I am having allot of fun and like to help others who are SURVIVING with cancer or who has been through the fight. I like to help people in general for whatever reason...I appreciate everyday that is given to me. Remember, Knowledge is Power!

I am a single mom to wonderful 18 year old, who is not only my son but, also my best friend and my life.

I feel truely blessed to be part of this crazy sexy community you are all wonderful people and always make me feel better when I am stressed for any reason at all. Thank you all for being here for me...Hugs :)

I love your pictures, your son is an angel. When I moved to LV, my then 17 yr old daughter, Jen moved with me, so I would be closer to my folks. My boys (older) stayed up in Ut with their Dad. This was during our divorce. So it became what it was. I see that there is a discussion about dating. LOL I have not dated since sep w/ex. I just don't know if this is the town to try it in either. :) Bless you for taking the time to volunteer! It is an important descision to make and do! I feel you will find rewards all around you! Well guess again, Its a full-time career to manage my healing house. It never ended for me. or for others. Its a yearly process of renewing eligibility, collecting records, all kind of governmental and private insurance hell. Both for pay and for treatment. I have 25 full notebooks of records, I manage the physician team/billing clerks, payments all the crap. And I'm not supposed to have to worry about anything but healing..what a joke. I have an attorney who works on a contingency basis, but i keep on a small retainer so if issues arise i can consult - more records....sigh. Anyway, I became an advocate to help people negotiate their way through the bs we seem to have to walk thru. For me, its a necessary evil. I pray it will be a much smoother path for you.
