Elaine, When my mother had breast cancer in 2000 my father acted much the same with her. She was also very hurt and shocked. Unlike you, she did not survive, and he is now trying to "make it up" th... Read More »

I thought it was either in FL (lived there for 25 years) or the islands.
I gave another member your name to contact as her husband is overseas too...her name is Bri (or perhaps Brianna...). I hope she finds you!
Take care,

Sounds as if you have a wonderful husband and 3 great girls.
God bless & keep you,

I know my results are going to be perfect!
Thanks for your support.....and congratulations on your daughter's HS graduation this past Friday! My oldest daughter graduates June 27th. It is exciting....and these moments get imprinted in their memory forever...so meaningful. So meaningful for us to be there with them...for them to smile and wink at...or in my daughter's case roll her eyes & scowl at :-)
I'll let you know that my scans are clean as soon as I know.
Hello....Hope you are well today....I read some of your blog entries & having to miss the love of your life...and fear for his life every day while fighting for your own is all just too much. You already know this.
It is so cool that your daughter's school gave you such a huge show of support! I hope that it stays with you when you need it most.
I'm so glad to hear that the tumor shrank right away. And the hair is out! It's done & you aren't waiting for it to happen. I hope that you take lots of pictures of yourself this way. I now wish I had taken more...as sick as I looked...I really would like to have that now.
Anyhoooow.....I hope you feel well & enjoy the week. I have my PET/CT and eccocardiogram all tomorrow. I will wear sweats to bed & then roll out & straight into teh car at 6:30 tomorrow morning. I don't care what I look like...and can't have any metal on. I'll have my tests & hopefully be home by 2:00. Then I will eat, eat, eat. My diet is restricted pre-test today. I will rest and eat after my appt.s I will be SOOOOOOOOO glad when the tests have been done. I am supposed to have chemo on Tues., but I will call my onc. tomorrow & ask if we should wait until PET results....I may be able to stop the chemo when results are good! I will assk to postpone the appt. until we have results.
You've been on my mind...talk to you soon...love, Jenny/sweetlife
so happy you are in a good place today. i think my hair starting coming out when i pulled on it at about the 14th day after my first chemo. then i cut it off really short - but honestly, if i'd just not touched it or washed it, it may have lasted a few more days. it was almost a relief when it finally went, because anticipating it was worse than it happening! my kids and parents made a party of cutting it off, then my husband and my best friend shaved it for me. having the kids be part of it took the shock out of it - they handled it great. you are a warrior to go through this with your husband in iraq and three kids. i admire you!
feel good,
marla
Got your message & I know how night time can be rough. I'm glad you have support online 24/7!!!
