About Me:: I am a post canser babe! Or maybe once a canser babe always a babe? A year and a half ago I went in for a "routine" partial hysterectomy and came out six hours later with a full hysterectomy and hearing the word "Cancer" and ten days later being informed, grade 3, stage 3 "rare" and "aggressive" . Well, for someone who considered myself pretty dang healthy, yep ate good, well maybe not so regularly cuz life is filled with so many adventures, exercised, Soccer Chick, plus running a company I love, which I can hardly be considered real work; I thought they must have the wrong Princess of Power! OK, regroup, my thought process went to, Well aren't we ALL "Rare" or I prefer "Unique" and how about the word Assertive instead of aggressive.... so I started living my experience of canser from that point.... Yes, I am Unique and Assertive! My choices as I moved forward were based first from a place of who am I, what feels "right/good" for me, that covered the "Unique" previously known as rare and me choosing to be the "Hub or Control Center" with whomever and whatever, that now covered the "Assertive" previously heard as aggressive. With little time to heal from the surgery, chemo started....so in addition to surgery and chemo, my healing container consisted of Cranial Sacral, aromatherapy, working with a nutritionist, Yes, YAHOO Green Drinks, prayer, yoga/yogic breathing, meditation, energy work, gemstone therapy, laughing,(once my abs were healed enough), writing and being with me... and opening to people loving me. Chemo has been complete now for one year, I have my blood and cells checked every three months...it does seem to serve as a consistent focal point to staying on my unique and assertive course in all the moments of my life.

I am even more passionate about exploring natural solutions to take the "dis" out of dis comfort and dis ease; I'm not adverse to allopathic medicine when utilized in a thoughtful and appropriate manner, in fact I am finding a great love in microbiology, I am fascinated by mitochondria, the powerhouse of the human cell.
I live and run our business on 3 acres located in a gorgeous Oregon valley, with my daughter who is a nurse and my son-in-law who is a nursing student and all around great guy and their two dogs, Sophie and Switters....
I love to encourage people to smell, good smells, bad smells, all smells in the pursuit of Aroma Therapy, hey, we have great fun at our, "Just for the Smell of it" gatherings! and I'm curious, very curious, I nominate Nancy Drew to be the patron Saintarina of Curiosity.
I am grateful for Kris creating space for all of us to explore, adventure and connect with ourselves and with each other. I am grateful for those of you have called and after connecting encouraged me to reach out further into this community. May we all breathe in and experience Ahaa moments! Inn delight! Caryn

I have many favs and I love so many of them for their energy and healing. I'm a big fan of essential oils too, although right now my sense of smell is really acute being on chemo so I'm not using any for now. Anyway, nice to have you here. Acknowledging the negative feelings may help me too. I will try to acknowledge them, accept it, and move on from that. All the posts from fellow CSL folks have really helped me a great deal today.
