read your park/phone encounter story. way funny. Yeah, making new friends after 40 (in my case) can be a challenge, and especially when I think I'm about 32 in my mind.
Hang in there AGirl and keep asking for phone numbers and emails. Communication is the way to go.
I have an ex dude that LOVED to say whatever. It's a bad habit and essentially says "I DON'T CARE". Now when I hear it... my blood pressure goes up. Which for me with low blood pressure is a GOOD thing...hahahaha.

I TOTALLY know what you mean about trying to make a new friend and having them think your a Lezbian. I wanna say "im not a lezbian, although there is nothing wrong with that, but you wanna hang out?" Seems un PC to me.
I had a conversation with a female friend yesterday and she said the same thing. Not everyone has to be a good friend, or even friend. Some can be aquaintances (sp). Over the past year, I have done some shifting and I think the hardest part about it is realizing that I was pretty close to some friends who didnt benefit me, which makes me feel like a loser for putting in time and effort with people that I possibly shouldnt have. Like somehow I should "know" all of this already. Alas, we live and learn right?
On a posi note- I am giving blood today- somthing i am terrified to do, but have been wanting too. Its on my list of things to do in life, things that scare me. It might sound lame but im doing and im stoked! I also had get a flu shot on the list and I did that last year. Its a pattern. Needles= scariness. I'll let you know if i pass out or not.

Your life sounds like a very exciting, but a bit stressfull place to live! What a cool job. You know it's not just your profession that is living in a terrible market. Our economy is hurting. Here in Ohio, people are really really hurting. My husband sells cars for a living, and over the last 4-5 years it has just gotton to the point that his income isn't enough. He makes less and less money every year. We are making up for the loss by selling on Ebay. I've watched business after business close down in our city. People that have worked for a company for 20 years are losing their jobs because people over sees are taking over. It just SUCKS!
I wish we lived in a world where we weren't bogged down with paying the bills too. It's on my mind all the time. This surgery I'm having this Wednesday is going to take me years to pay off. Thank God my doctor is understanding about that. It's hard to be human. I want to be a cat! hahahaha
Anyways, you are doing great. You really are. I think you are fabulous. like Jim Carry says, "somebodies FAAAABULOUS!"
