Hi Christine. My apologies for not getting back to you earlier. I have had a lot on my plate with 2 big falls & my dog Springer has had a bad bacterial skin infection which I'm still dealing with. I also did not realize that you had commented back to me as your comments are only showing up on your page vs. mine, so I didn't see them til now.

Yes, I've heard of juice plus...some folks swear by it, probably not a bad back up for when you can't juice.

Heavy metal detox is a biggee, but doing general detox as I mentioned, wheatgrass helps. Cilantro, chlorella & parsley are good for moving heavy metals out. Liquid bentonite or zeolite have been used to bind heavy metals. Check out this info on heavy metal detox...I have used these products...

Glad your hair is starting to come back! Yay!

Yes, I am doing raw with fabulous Maine organics- the gardens are starting to brim with them. I am listening to my body as well and it still craves a little, meat fish and dairy( raw whole plain yogurt with berries- so cooling and wonderful) in smaller than before servings.
I have manifested a juicer - from someone who was giving it away! Now I need a kick ass blender to do my greens. I wonder if I should get a Blend-tec or a Drink Machine (vita Mix) Does anyone know or have one that works really well?? I am spending way too much money at the juice bar and need to get one ASAP! I feel awesome it is so great to feel that way!

Eating as much raw vegan will be great...just listen to your body and see what you want. Lots of smoothies would be fantastic, too. Yum.

Thanks Michalene, I have not done the colonic yet but would like too. Wheatgrass sounds interesting! My accupunturist says it makes her dizzy! I use Dr. Winston's herb tincture for fitness- my naturapath recomended it to me. How do I do the heavy metal cleansing.?
I use a supplement called juice plus-ever hear of it? In addition,I have been using Vibrant Green in my juices. Speaking of that I need to go to the store because I am all out of limes!.. Tomorrow I am traveling to Brooklyn to visit my new baby grandaughter. I am so blessed!! I will break my fast of 5 days so I can break bread with my wonderful family. (NOT bread but veggies and rice) What do you say about eating after juicing? Where do I begin??
My brows and lashes are coming back! And, I have some wonderful fuzz on my head, first it was red blonde, now it is darkened. I love it all!
Blissings,
Chris

Hi Christine. CONGRATS on finishing chemo! That IS wonderful isn't it to feel that behind you?! GREAT for you on the juicing & lemon water! That sounds good. Don't know how long you've been doing this, but as long as you're feeling good & energized, other things you can consider are wheatgrass, herbs & supplements to support your liver, heavy metal cleansing (for the chemo residue), making sure you're getting enough fiber, and doing a series of colonics or enemas.

On the wheatgrass, the key is to start SLOW & LOW...1/4 to 1/2 of an ounce for some folks, but no more than 1 oz to start....get used to it & then consider bumping it up maybe a 1/2 oz, gradually. Now if you can't handle the taste solo, you could put it in your juice, such that the other stuff will mask the taste...again similar amounts. People react differently to wheatgrass, so you might be fine.

Another way to get wheatgrass into your system is with implants after a colonic or an enema. This is again starting slow (with maybe 1oz) juiced wheatgrass put in the colon & held for 15 min (you may have to do less initially til you get used to it), & then released.

Wheatgrass is SUPER good for your liver & you want to do everything you can to help the liver since it is the main detoxifying organ in your bod. Colon flow is key too. Lots of folks are plugged up from the drugs etc, so you want to clear the pipes & get the flow moving so you can have the toxins moving out quickly. Fiber helps with this.

Dry brushing, sauna or steam bath will help detox thru your skin if you can do those. Exercise-walking or rebounding are good ways to help the colon move & to help the lymph system.

That's a good start, relative to detox support. Building your immune system is the other avenue & nutrient dense eating, like with green juices & smoothies is a great baseline.

Thanks for the comments, Christine! The flood was literally in my backyard! I am up high though so I wasn't threatened by it but got some good photos. People in Iowa are great and take great care of each other with sandbagging, food, shelter, clothing. I love it here! Cheers to green drinks and life, Christine! God bless you!
