i was just introduced to you thru the mama posse. my son was dx at age 7 with pelvic rhabdomyosarcoma and is now 18 y/o and 10 years cancer free! my heart goes out to you and i am here for you. i am happy to listen, to share, and to pray! you are not alone! this is a challenging journey and i am here to walk and/or crawl beside you. whatever you need~

Hi Jackie,
thank you very much for your answer. I just saw your profile, you are one strong lady to deal with three little kids + this challenge (to put it very mildly)
I hope you have a great support system and that this forum helps.
I just have a quick question (as I soon will be faced with the decision to stay on chemo or not for another 6 months)
Did the temodar shrink your daughter's tumors, stabilize them, or both? Do you feel that going 18 months as opposed to a year helped?

Yes I am still taking Temodar :) I am six months in and another six months to go and then we will re evaluate where to go from there (ie taking it longer)

My scans have all been clear thus far ;)
I really have a hard time with my platelets though, they have been as low as 33,000. Luckily on this dose (200 mg) they have remained above 100,000 but just barely.

All in all, I cant complain :) Atleast I am alive!

I also have brain cancer (anaplastic astrocytoma- Grade III) I am so sorry to hear that your son/daughter has brain cancer.
