Ana, one thing I've learned (the hard way) is that by forgiving someone, you help yourself. You are not "letting them off the hook" for hurting you. Forgiveness and reconcilliation are two differen... Read More »

Great to talk to you..I am well. I go to PA tomorrow for PET/CT and chemo Thursday. So keep your fingers & toes crossed for me! :-)
Your work sounds so interesting!
I am working on finding my own niche.
My daughter is adjusting to college pretty well & my 16 yr old starts her Junior year tomorrow.
I am so looking forward to coming home Thursday night!!!
I want to do something, just don't know what yet!
Love to you!
I'm so glad things are settling down at your house a bit. I'm sorry things are rough...I know how that goes, believe me.
Did you say you are starting work? They need to set up CSL so that when you click reply to message you get to see the person's message while you type your answer to them...like when you hit reply on an e-mail...because I forget what I just read! Duh!
I wish you weren't all the way in CO!!! We need to meet for coffee/green tea/pure water!!!
I'm leaving forst thign in the morning for CTCA & I'll be back Wed. late afternoon/eve. I'll probably be back online Thursday....I will talk more then....glad to hear from you!!! Love!
I'm so sorry you've been under so much stress lately. I hope everything works out with your sons. Teenagers (and twenty-somethings) are SOOOO difficult!
I'm glad your daughter is feeling better. Since I've become a patient at CTCA I have added dairy back into my diet (low fat organic) and added some meat (!) The nutritionist recomended this to help my body through chemo. I also take several supplements, including B6 + B Complex.
Don't feel bad about not being around....we all have busy lives to live & can't always spend time online! We understand & hope things are better soon!
Enjoy the weekend!
How are you feeling?
CTCA is working out great for me...feelinga little crappy, but doing great!Come by my page & dish!
How are you? How was your 4th of July weekend???
Everything is great here! Planning to go to CTCA on Sunday for a few days & i'll let you know how it goes. Enjoy a green smoothie w/ your daughter for me! :-)
Peace,
Marney
I'm so sorry that we're stuck. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my therapist & I like the advice she has given me about this...exactly what I told you....to stay and detach with love.
Our health situations are different though. I have breast canser w/ mets to bone & liver. My life literally depends on having good health insurance & money to live.
It really stinks though. My daughters can't stand their dad's ranting & raving & alcoholism, but they don't want to leave. They want him to get a grip.
I'm so sorry that you have to deal with self centered (and MEAN) teenagers. I have 2 of my own. The severe mood swings & lack of help are hard to deal with.
Congratulations on their graduation!!!
Suzanne just graduated HS on Friday (with a fever.) She'll go off to college in Aug. & I hope things will improve with her younger sister once she's gone. We will miss her, but Kristin sometimes has a bad ass attitude to emulate her sister. Yuck! Hopefully she'll get back to herself once her sister is out of the house.
Well, I know I haven't been particularly helpful...but you're not alone. You may want to read some al-anon literature even if he doesn't have a drinking problem. It really focuses on loving detachment from the sometimes severe problems of a family member....it does not advise you to leave, but it is support for when you are staying in that type of situation. The books I have are: One Day At A Time In Al-Anon and Courage To Change One Day At A Time In Al-Anon II. I got them at amazon for a dollar or two plus S&H. I don't read them every day, but when I am feeling particularly worn out by the situation.
Talk to you soon....Take Care!
If you do split up, what are your thoughts about where you'll live, what you'll do, etc.
I want to leave so badly, but I'm on chemo, no job, I could get a job & be very, very poor & forced to work when sick or stay w/ my husband & put up with the bs. I talk w/ my therapist about it & in my situation she recomends I stay & just build as much of a seperate life for myself as I can & detach as much as I can.
I'm sorry wither of us has to deal with this!
Too bad we can't have a CSL commune for us to all live together & support each other!
