About Me:
I am 42, married and the mother of two daughters, ages 5 and 8. I was diagnosed with invasive lobular carcinoma, Stage 3. (fancy name for breast cancer!) in February 2007. I had a double mastectomy with TRAM flap reconstruction, 8 rounds of chemo, 29 sessions of radiation and and now on Tamoxifen, riding the pre/post menopausal rollercoaster. I live in the San Francisco Bay area and I am regaining my strength, vitality and love of life...

Shell, You are doing great. I am still battleing myself. I am my own worse enemy. You would thing getting cancer would snap me to attention. I just keep failing. My diet is not good. I drink coffee and tea and eat things I know I should not. I really hope I can get a hold of this. I think finding out I have to have another surgery has put me in a bit of depression. Since it's for a hernia I can't exercise or lift anything too heavy. Oh and being thrown into Menopause doesn't help as you know! I will march on!!

Shell, Thanks for the comments. I surfed to your profile and was intrigued by your picture. Beautiful, alive, adventurous, caring, inquisitive, respectful, reserved, and fun. That is what your picture told me. I love you! without knowing you. To me, you look like me. That sounds corny! But true. Don't know if it will help but I will be sending happy, peaceful and healing thoughts your way. :-)
