Profile Information

About Me:: I am a Doula, (Greek word) and help woman and their partners during pregnancy, labor, birth and the postpartum period. I am also a breastfeeding peer support counselor. I am the mother of 4 children, two boys, ages 23 and 14 and two girls, 20 and 18. My mother passed away 2 years ago at the age of 68 and my sister passed away in March f 2008 from Non-small cell lung cancer. My father was diagnosed in July of 2007 with the same cancer but has undergone chemotherapy and is doing well.
I love the earth, the human body and would like to do what I can to make us healthier and more aware. I love to learn new things! I am passionate about music, swimming, beaches and loving my friends and family.

I'm in the planning stages of trying to get pregnant and we're going to have a homebirth with a midwife and doula (I've already interviewed them and selected them). I've not heard of the book, Baby Catcher... would you recommend it?
