I was diagnosed with GIST (Gastro Intestinal Stromal Tumor) in 2006 and I'm 29 years old. I live in Dallas, TX with my husband Terrance and my Westie. I'm a reading teacher (K-5th grade) and I was born in Bolivia, South America. I've been living here for 10 years now.
I am feeling so much better and living a "normal" life.
I love to teach, read and travel.

i'm back and NED!

My last scan was NED! I have been feeling very fatigued and I am anemic, does anyone have good ideas on how to deal with this? I'm chewing iron and eating beats....

Hey Carolina,

how are you these days.

I've been meaning to ask you if you'll be in Austin for the LIVESTRONG Challenge in October. We could use some more team participants or people cheering us on, so let me know if you're going.

I've been to Dallas two years ago. Of course, I had to see a Mavs game. Dirk Nowitzki always donates a jersey for my fundraising auctions, so that was fun seeing him play in the US. Loved the sculpture garden.

I'm back and I made it!!! I moved to a new house and traveled for 3 weeks to the beach and Bolivia. It was great, but I'm so happy to be back home.
