Chad, first of all welcome to CSL. We're really glad you're here!! This is the warmest caringest website in all of cyberland, and everyone here is just wonderful. We look forward to seeing you around more!
I read your comment to Gina, and wow. You and your family have been through so much. I do hope that y'all have found a good support system locally, and rely on them. We are here and we'll send as much love, light, and groovy peace as possible (and believe me, it's a LOT!) .
It's amazing how everything always seems to happen at one time, it almost never fails. But we have to remember that it is always darkest before dawn. Yeah, I totally like cliches and I use them because there is a nugget of golden truth!
I pray you all find the strength and courage to fight the battles ahead, and heal from the battles past. Be well and stay strong.
Chad,
OMG! I am so sorry to hear about your Mom and what you have been through. Your story brings tears to my eyes. I'm so glad though that you have the support of your family and that your Mom has you to lean on. You will meet so many wonderful, strong people here that will quickly become your friends. It has helped me a lot to come here and be around others that know what you've been through & are still going through.
FYI, when u want to respond to someone, either click on "comment back" at the bottom of their blurb or click on their name and respond there. Otherwise, it stays on ur page.
If you'd like, we have a smaller support group here called crazy sexy SE survivors you can join since you live in the south like me. ;-)
Hugs,
Gina
Thanks for the welcomeing. It is not as bad as it was when I was a teenager. It is becomeing more family oriented. More like the Destin atmosphere. I am glad it has aged with me! I read you profile...Gina it is hard for you and your family I am sure. My mother lives in Dublin, Ga the she had a sore on her tongue that would not go away. She went to the doctor a month later (one year ago) and they did biopsy and it came back positive. We had surgery and she lost her tongue and both of her lymph glands in her neck. Just one month ago she went in for her PET scan and it had spread through her neck and rated a 10. Two months prior the PET scan came back 0. It is hard to see my mother like this and I can't pay it off, beat it up, or kill it....I am helpless. God is watching us through it all. By the way, two weeks after my moms first surgery I went through a divorce and three months after the divorce I was shot in the head during a robery and lost my eye. It has been a crazy time but we are all alive and well. We were all close before but now we are very close. Thank you for the add Gina. P.S. You are a beautiful woman. I say that with respect for you husband at the same time

Welcome to our little cybertown. I live in Atlanta, Ga and used to go to PCB all the time. Is it still a big party beach?
