i'm young and free! i have recently embarked on a new lifestyle since living in germany and traveling through europe last summer, and since my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer (triple negative, poorly differentiated) just before christmas. now i'm all about helping with my mom's healing and happiness, *trying* yoga, veggie juice, kombucha and getting enough sleep!

Hi Valerie! thanks for the suggestion of "The ice queen" I don't think I've read that one...I will check it out. I love some of her earlier ones like Turtle Moon and Seventh Heaven and of course Practical Magic, the book, not the movie so much, but my daughter disagrees vehemently-she LOVES the movie, go figure. Recently saw a new little movie called "Son of Rambow" so sweet and for some reason the other night i was thinking about an older movie I really loved called"Whale Rider"-its from New Zealand-check it out if you get a chance.
Hope you are doing well and your mom as well. so glad that she is almost finished. HOORAY! My daughter is home from her first year at college so we are hanging out a lot, watching past "Lost" seasons and movies. I am loving her being home but I suspect, while glad to be home, really misses school and all of that freedom:)!

not much news to report! summer school is taking over my life, and then i'm going home this summer and 1. getting a puppy! and 2. packing up our house cause my dad is moving to florida! so i'll be pretty busy...plus, of course, my fave, doctor's appointments :P tell your mom i say hi (in fact i'm going to go leave her a comment now too!) miss you and keep me updated on the job! :)

Very nice to meet you too :) I see you live in Redding/ Malibu...I have an aunt in LA and I've been wanting to get down there and visit...if I do perhaps we could meet up and do some running and/ or yoga-ing. Or grab some veggie juice or kombucha. I also love that stuff, perhaps a little too much. Thanks for the note, hope you are well!
