Oh Carolyn, what an unbelievable dreadful story - my heart breaks for him and the hell that he had to go through at the hospice. And how fortunate to have such an angel as you....this must be your mission and you have answered the call. Sometimes family members are in denial and just can't handle the reality, its very sad - but I guess its true that it is never too late to try. I hope he is comfortable there....it is the very least he deserves after making the harrowing journey. I hope he is well enough to begin the treatment and can contact you soon - you must be so anxious to speak with him. Is he near Tammy....I know that she did go to Mexico as well and wonder how she is doing, too.

It is a clinic run by a doc that does chelation, iv vitc etc. I have to see their doc first and then get the iv. I have to pay out of pocket.

I went to Traphagen School of Design for two years; they only taught fashion design and illustration. they were down on park ave south near union square park...around the corner from hunter college. i learned a lot but i had been sewing since i was seven so i was more experienced than most of my teachers.

I lived in nyc when i was going to school and for several years after. down in chelsea on 29th between 8th and 9th. nice quiet tree lined street at the time. I live in Lyndhurst now; i moved there to be close to my old job. I will more than likely be moving this year to be close to my new job since it's all the way up in northern bergen county almost on the ny border. my brother used to work in roselle park so i've been there many times (when he needed a ride).

The victorian house on my page is my house in the catskills that is in dire need of a paint job. that's a picture of it from the day i bought the house. it has a nice garden in front now. guess the paint will have to wait until i see what my medical bills are going to be...ciao!

ahhhh....we shall be kindred spirits. many years ago i went to school for fashion design in NYC with the hopes of breaking into costume design, but alas when i got out of school in '79 the garment industry as a whole was being outsourced to the orient and there wasn't a job to be found. (well not entirely true, there were jobs but you needed a minimum of three years work experience and with so many experienced designers out on the streets I didn't stand a chance.) ciao!

funny you should mention nazies and chemo in the same post...i myself these days go around refering to a certain drug company (who shall reamin nameless here) as the "new nazies" and that's for having the gall to charge $60K for Herceptin...its just as demonizing in a different way. it doesnt cost anywhere near $60K to make it. bastards!

on a different note...love the queen elizabeth dress on your page. did you make it????

Your suggestions for Tony were great: you are soooo right! Anything that comes from a can cannot be healing or life-giving, like green juices or smoothies are! Green juices are awesome: they've made all the difference for me and my mother!

I am s glad abe got off ok. Duncan is just amazed and lost in the beauty of the photos you posted. He is consumed with the beauty. He is on the csl diet. he is nuts about it and has done it for two years.. so it has really served him well. This pain crisis is just that.. we go thru this once every four or five years. It will pass. Bless him.. he is ready to get started on his life. He has been so active in the last four years.. he had four hours a day up out of bed during that time and he used it like a mad man.. now he is back in bed for a while and he is chomping at the bit to get the hell out. I cannot blame he .. it is exhausting watching life and living in pain. But.. it will pass. Thanks for asking. If there is ever anything I can do please let me know. love you Callie
