About Me:: I'll try to write some "about me" as soon as I get a chance. In the meantime, I'd love to have you pop 'round my art blog, which chronicles my return (after many years) to making drawings and paintings, mostly in oil and pastel. It's called "The Artist Exposed, or, How I'm Finally Gettin' Serious About Makin Art." (URL below)

So, anyway... I learned recently there's this (Gleason 6, T-2) prostate matter I must deal with, and I'm playing them cards, just as I've been dealt 'em. Kind of like James Bond in Casino Royale, y'know? (Cue bitchen' 007 theme song here). But I am most definitely NOT letting a little thing like this get me down. Un UNH... no way. Actually, I see it as the best damn wake up call I've ever had.

So here I am... and here I go. The trip is already starting to get reeeal interesting. Happy to have found you all here. Thanks for popping 'round my hippy-trippy lil' page. Pretty psychedelic, inn'it? (Psyche=clear; Delos=Soul, or Mind)

To chop, or not to chop? That is the question... (and other stuff)

Hi to my friends (and anyone else who happens along)... Not had much of a chance to be as active as I'd like here. As it is, I've committed "account suicide" (as one on-line friend calls it) on another social site that i'd had a long standing presence with. Zapped my page and two years of blog entries along with it. No regrets, though. I just had neither the time nor the inclination to deal with it anymore. I don't know about yours, but the days following my surgery were excruciating, but lo and behold, two weeks later I was fine! The body is amazing. So, you don't need any radiation...nothing? Just the surgery? If that is the case, that is fantastic! And yes, as you said, keep eating your veggies, keeping fit and stay proactive about your health...keep all regular appointments. ALL of my girlfriends have really learned that from me....early detection really is key. Because I was such a health nut, I was actually a little on the lax side about going to see doctors.....but you can't mess around with cancer, so it's just better to stay on top of those appointments.
I hope you'll keep in touch....as I said before, I like your vibe and your art. Thank you for your kind words and support! I come to these pages and it always lifts me up to see all of these people with such positive attitudes...just dealing with this stuff and moving forward and living life!

Me too. on my CSL page you can also go to my website and family blog...photos etc. Your page is the best page I've seen...duh, you're a graphic designer...love it, loved the quotes and love that you're in NC. I've always wanted to go there and your art makes me want to go there even more. I love in South Pasadena and I'm currently in chemo....got about three months left and hopefully that will be it! Thank you so much for the comment. Its far and few between that I get to meet people from North Carolina. Most the people I see that have cancer are in there when I go to the DR's office but I often get stared at by a lot of older people. I have yet to see someone my age in there. You comment gave me a big smile. Thanks agian and please keep in touch:)
