I'm currently in my 4th year of battling chronic Lyme disease. It was undiagnosed for a year and a half, and doctors told me I had everything from MS to a pinched nerve to "stress". Although I'm MUCH better than I was during those devastating first six months of the disease, I still have various neurological issues, days of crushing fatigue, and mild depression. I feel like modern medicine has taken me as far as I can go, and I want to explore healing myself with raw foods, exercise, and a positive outlook on life.
I'm a graphic artist / photographer by day, and I live with two pomeranians, two cats, a fish, and a frog. I volunteer at a community theater and love to travel! I've been to Ireland, England, Wales, Scotland, France, and Alaska.
Hey Lisa. Not that I enjoy meeting someone with Lyme, well, let me rephrase. I love meeting new people but hate finding out they have Lyme, moreso - Neuro-Lyme. 8(
I also have Lyme (chronic, neuro, whatever term you want to use) and have been trying various things but keep landing up in a toxic state and having to detox and start over.
Feel free to contact me if you'd like some information, I've been doing this for a very long time now but wasn't diagnosed until like 10 years later.
I have a group set up here in Groovy Groups, I have a snippet of my Lyme story but I'm sure as you know, it would take days upon days to type up the full version. Here's the link (CSID for short):
